Venue

The Institute is known as “Tata Institute Auditorium” to the locals and is just past Mekhri circle and on the way to Yeshwantpur. Once reaching, you can ask the security the direction for “J N Tata Auditorium or National Science Seminar Complex”

1. If you are arriving at the airport, there are three ways you can reach the venue:
   • Bus: BMTC Electric AC bus facility is available just outside the airport and can be availed to reach the venue at an approximate cost of INR 180-210 within 1 hour 35 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. KIAS-5A runs three times a day and will drop you at "Mekri Circle," from where the venue is hardly 2.5 km away.
   • Airport Taxi: Kindly approach “Airport Taxi” – they ask for Karnataka State Government approved fare, which will cost approximately INR 900-1200, and will directly drop you at the venue.
   • Ola/Uber: You can use app-based services of “Uber” and “Ola” for renting a taxi. Fare may vary depending on these providers.
2. If you are arriving by train, we would recommend you choose your destination station accordingly. You can avail any of the app-based services, metro, or self-convenience from the railway station to the venue.
   • Yeshwantpur Railway Station (YPR) to Venue: 1.8-2KM
   • Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station (KSR/SBC) to Venue: 5-7 KM
   • Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Railway Station (SMVT) to Venue: 9-10 KM
   You can also take the metro near KSR/SBC Railway station named "Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station, Majestic" to "Sandal Soap Factory," from where the venue is about 2.5 KM away.
3. If you are staying in Bangalore, you can reach the venue with multiple options. You can take a Rapido, metro, Ola/Uber cab, auto, or use self-convenience. The nearest metro station is "Sandal Soap Factory." You can check the price and route at BMRC website.
